Excellent post, thanks! I read Havel’s “Power of the Powerless” 30 years ago in college when it was assigned in a philosophy tutorial. During Covid craziness I kept thinking of Havel’s green grocer and his ‘workers of the world unite’ sign. False consensus was everywhere. I spoke out whenever I could but it seemed most everybody just wanted to keep their heads down.
