The Controversial 2018 "DEFUSE" Research Proposal
- Emily Kopp's recent interview on Rising follows a recent report published by the US Right to Know
A recent report by US Right to Know's Emily Kopp unveils shocking revelations regarding potential origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. Documents obtained indicate plans by American and Chinese scientists to bioengineer coronaviruses in Wuhan, including features similar to SARS-CoV-2. The documents pertain to a grant proposal called the Diffuse Proposal, led by EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak in 2018.
The proposal sought to engineer live viruses with novel features, such as a furin cleavage site and receptor binding domains, posing a "clear and present danger of a new SARS-like pandemic." Although the proposal was rejected by DARPA, the obtained documents shed light on the research interests and intentions of scientists closely associated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The end goal was to engineer high-risk synthetic coronaviruses, raising questions about the possibility of a lab origin for SARS-CoV-2.
"The new documents reveal that the scientists planned to use new revers…
