We are the good guys, however that does not make us ignorant!
When vaccines were developed against Covid, three types of vaccines were proposed:
I - Traditional vaccines (as quickly available as the others) made in China with the entire inactivated virus. These vaccines were not authorized in France for reasons that escape me. This type of vaccine, comparable to the flu vaccine, carries fewer unknown risks and does not target only one aspect of the virus: the Spike. I feared, and it happened, that the virus mutations and its respiratory specificity would not provide durable immunity, and the vaccine would not have a very long protective duration. I published the first known case of Covid reinfection. Since the disease is not highly immunizing, the vaccine wouldn't fare much better.
