The blue line climbs from roughly $65 in early January, with sharp spikes on positive Remdesivir news (green boxes) and pauses, dips, or reversals on HCQ/IHU Marseille developments or competing data (red boxes). By April 30, the stock closed at $83.93.

This wasn’t random volatility. Markets were pricing in which narrative and which revenue stream would win: an expensive, patented, hospital-administered antiviral from Gilead versus cheap, off-patent, outpatient repurposed drugs. Positive Remdesivir leaks, trial launches, compassionate-use data, and analyst upgrades sent shares soaring. Signals that challenged the “nothing works except our drug” story triggered caution. The pattern is clear on the chart, and the financial architecture behind it is even clearer in hindsight.

The Early 2020 Setup: From ~$65 to the Remdesivir Hype Train

Gilead opened 2020 around $65. By late February, as COVID awareness grew, the stock began climbing on Remdesivir speculation.

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2020-- Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD) today announced the initiation of two Phase 3 clinical studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of remdesivir in adults diagnosed with COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). These randomized, open-label, multicenter studies will enroll approximately 1,000 patients at medical centers primarily across Asian countries, as well as other countries globally with high numbers of diagnosed cases, beginning in March. The studies will assess two dosing durations of remdesivir, administered intravenously. The initiation of these studies follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) rapid review and acceptance of Gilead’s investigational new drug (IND) filing for remdesivir for the treatment of COVID-19.

Prophylactic and therapeutic remdesivir (GS-5734) treatment in the rhesus macaque model of MERS-CoV infection

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, caused by the MERS coronavirus (MERS-CoV), continues to cause severe respiratory disease with a high case fatality rate. To date, potential antiviral treatments for MERS-CoV have shown limited efficacy in animal studies. Here, we tested the efficacy of the broad-acting antiviral remdesivir in the rhesus macaque model of MERS-CoV infection. Remdesivir reduced the severity of disease, virus replication, and damage to the lungs when administered either before or after animals were infected with MERS-CoV. Our data show that remdesivir is a promising antiviral treatment against MERS that could be considered for implementation in clinical trials. It may also have utility for related coronaviruses such as the novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV emerging from Wuhan, China.

By mid-March, compassionate-use reports (including from the Diamond Princess cruise ship) leaked. The stock broke $70 as analysts modeled blockbuster potential—even before robust Phase 3 data.

Compassionate Use of Remdesivir for Patients with Severe Covid-19

CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort of patients hospitalized for severe Covid-19 who were treated with compassionate-use remdesivir, clinical improvement was observed in 36 of 53 patients (68%). Measurement of efficacy will require ongoing randomized, placebo-controlled trials of remdesivir therapy. (Funded by Gilead Sciences.)

March 16, 2020: As the coronavirus spreads, a drug that once raised the world’s hopes is given a second shot

Remdesivir, in the spotlight as scientists and governments scramble to find a treatment for the disease, took a circuitous route to center stage. Born as a general antiviral candidate, researchers threw it at an array of viruses and saw where it stuck. It bounced along from Gilead’s labs to academic centers, nudged by both federal taxpayer dollars and support from the company. It kept turning up whiffs of potential in cells and animals infected by other coronaviruses like SARS and MERS, but these bugs weren’t causing sustained global crises. For years, Gilead was primarily focused on ushering remdesivir into trials and toward approval for a different kind of infection: Ebola.

22 Mar 2020: A European clinical trial to evaluate four experimental treatments for COVID-19 starts today. Coordinated by Inserm as part of the Reacting consortium, this trial will include at least 800 French patients with severe forms of COVID-19.

“We analysed data from the scientific literature on SARS and MERS coronaviruses and the first publications on SARS-COV2 from China in order to come up with a list of antiviral molecules to be tested: remdesivir, lopinavir and ritonavir in combination, the latter being administered with or without interferon beta and hydroxychloroquine. The list of these potential drugs is also based on the subset of experimental treatments classified as top priorities by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The great strength of this trial is its “adaptive” nature. This means that ineffective experimental treatments can very quickly be dropped and replaced by other molecules that emerge from research efforts. We will therefore be able to make changes in real time, in line with the most recent scientific data, in order to find the best treatment for our patients,” explains Florence Ader.

April 2020: The STAT Leak Rocket and the Rollercoaster

- The clearest spike came mid-April:

April 16–17, 2020: STAT News leaks encouraging early data from the University of Chicago remdesivir trial—rapid recoveries, most patients discharged in under a week. Shares jumped 8–12% intraday, with after-hours gains pushing toward 16% at peaks. Forbes, CNBC, CBS, and others amplified the surge.

Remdesivir was one of the first medicines identified as having the potential to impact SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes Covid-19, in lab tests. The entire world has been waiting for results from Gilead’s clinical trials, and positive results would likely lead to fast approvals by the Food and Drug Administration and other regulatory agencies. If safe and effective, it could become the first approved treatment against the disease.

The University of Chicago Medicine recruited 125 people with Covid-19 into Gilead’s two Phase 3 clinical trials. Of those people, 113 had severe disease. All the patients have been treated with daily infusions of remdesivir.

This was the first real “human data” leak. No full randomized controlled trial yet, just anecdotes but enough to price in billions in future revenue. The chart captures this massive up-move perfectly.

- Then the reversals:

April 23, 2020: Early disappointing signals emerge, including draft data from a Chinese study. The stock falls sharply. The WHO inadvertently posts and then removes preliminary data from a Chinese remdesivir study.

“Today, information from the first clinical study evaluating the investigational antiviral remdesivir in patients with severe COVID-19 disease in China was prematurely posted on the World Health Organization website. This information has since been removed, as the study investigators did not provide permission for the publication of the results. Furthermore, we believe the post included inappropriate characterizations of the study. The study was terminated early due to low enrollment and, as a result, it was underpowered to enable statistically meaningful conclusions. As such, the study results are inconclusive, though trends in the data suggest a potential benefit for remdesivir, particularly among patients treated early in disease.”

- Only for Fauci to come to the rescue:

April 29, 2020: Dr. Anthony Fauci publicly declares remdesivir will become the new “standard of care” based on NIAID trial results.

White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that data from a coronavirus drug trial testing Gilead Sciences’ antiviral drug remdesivir showed “quite good news” and sets a new standard of care for Covid-19 patients.

Fauci said the median time of recovery for patients taking the drug was 11 days, compared with 15 days in the placebo group.

The results suggested a survival benefit, with a mortality rate of 8% for the group receiving remdesivir versus 11.6% for the placebo group, according to a statement from the National Institutes of Health released later Wednesday.

Shares of Gilead were up by more than 5% at close and by more than 2% in extended hours trading.

April 30 2020: Gilead’s stock hit its 2020 peak near $84.

May 1, 2020: Remdesivir receives FDA Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

Net effect: volatile but ultimately supportive for Gilead’s narrative. The green-box momentum on the chart resumes.

May 22, 2020: The Lancet publishes the Mehra HCQ study (later retracted). RETRACTED: Hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with or without a macrolide for treatment of COVID-19: a multinational registry analysis

June 2020: Moderately Ill Data and Analyst Upgrades

June 1, 2020: Gilead releases moderately ill patient data. A 5-day course shows some benefit; the 10-day course does not reach statistical significance. Stock dips.

June 3, 2020: SVB Leerink upgrades Gilead to “Outperform,” projecting $7.7 billion in peak annual remdesivir revenue by 2022 and a $5,000 per-course price. The stock rebounds.

MarketWatch headline: “Gilead’s stock upgraded on high hopes for remdesivir revenue.”

Classic pattern: soft data → dip; bullish forecast → recovery.

June 15 2020: FDA revokes emergency use of hydroxychloroquine

The agency determined the drugs were “unlikely to be effective in treating COVID-19 for the authorized uses in the EUA.”

Later 2020: Reality Catches Up

April 29, 2020: The Lancet publishes the Chinese randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of remdesivir in adults with severe COVID-19.

The Chinese randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in The Lancet on April 29, 2020, found that remdesivir provided no statistically significant clinical benefit (time to clinical improvement, mortality, or viral clearance) compared to placebo in hospitalized adults with severe COVID-19.

The very next day (April 30), Gilead’s stock hit its 2020 peak near $84.

July 2020: Multiple publications and guidelines, including several in the BMJ, failed to establish clear efficacy for remdesivir. The stock fell sharply, closing at $69.50 on July 31.

October 15, 2020: The WHO releases interim results from the large SOLIDARITY trial, showing little or no effect of remdesivir on mortality or length of hospital stay.

Final publication (NEJM, Dec 2020) This triggered another leg down in the share price.

Despite these later setbacks, the early narrative momentum, FDA approvals, and massive government purchases had already delivered Gilead a highly profitable year.

The Broader Pattern: HCQ/IHU in the Red Boxes

In early 2020, GILD price action highlighted a clear pattern: positive updates on its patented antiviral remdesivir triggered gains and analyst upgrades, while news from Didier Raoult’s IHU Marseille studies on hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin aligned with pauses or pullbacks.

Raoult’s team at IHU Méditerranée Infection in Marseille released early data in March 2020:

On March 20, Gautret et al. published results from a small open-label non-randomized trial showing viral load reduction with HCQ + azithromycin. Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin as a treatment of COVID-19: results of an open-label non-randomized clinical trial

Conclusion: Hydroxychloroquine is significantly associated with viral load reduction/disappearance in COVID-19 patients and its effect is reinforced by azithromycin.

By March 27, the team released an observational study on 80 patients (PDF) reporting clinical improvement in nearly all cases, with low rates of ICU transfer and death.

Conclusion: We believe there is urgency to evaluate the effectiveness of this potentially-life saving therapeutic strategy at a larger scale, both to treat and cure patients at an early stage before irreversible severe respiratory complications take hold and to decrease duration of carriage and avoid the spread of the disease. Furthermore, the cost of treatment is negligible.

On March 26 they announced they had already treated approximately 700 patients with HCQ, with only one death.

COVID-19: More Hydroxychloroquine Data From France, More Questions

On March 26, Didier Raoult’s team also announced having already treated 700 patients with hydroxychloroquine, with only one death. Therefore, if this cohort increases significantly in Marseille and we see that, on the map, there are fewer issues with patient flow and saturation in Marseille and that there are fewer patients in intensive care, you will have to wonder about the effect of hydroxychloroquine.

Outcomes of 3,737 COVID-19 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin and other regimens in Marseille, France: A retrospective analysis

Conclusion: Although this is a retrospective analysis, results suggest that early diagnosis, early isolation and early treatment of COVID-19 patients, with at least 3 days of HCQ-AZ lead to a significantly better clinical outcome and a faster viral load reduction than other treatments.

These early reports, along with French President Emmanuel Macron’s surprise visit to the institute on April 9, 2020, coincided with volatility in GILD shares framed in market commentary as “red-box” caution.

Meanwhile, cheap, off-patent early treatments faced regulatory hurdles, negative trial framing, and institutional resistance.

In hindsight, the pattern is clear: policy did not merely respond to the virus, it actively shaped a market in which certain pharmaceutical products enjoyed de-risked, government-backed profitability while alternatives were sidelined.

Corporate Foresight Beyond Pharma

The financial architecture extended into supply chains and predictive analytics. As early as January 2020, Amazon leveraging sophisticated AI algorithms analyzing historical trends, consumer behavior, and emerging health signals, proactively preordered facial masks and fortified its supply chain in partnership with McKinsey & Company. This enabled rapid stocking of fulfillment centers while the company enforced pricing policies against gouging.

With the benefit of hindsight, this operational agility stands in contrast to the institutional sidelining of repurposed early treatments (such as hydroxychloroquine + zinc prophylaxis, referenced in earlier studies including Baric 2010 on zinc ionophores). It raises legitimate questions about the $cience vs. Profit conundrum.

Early COVID-19 vaccine allocation disparities — rich countries secured massive pre-orders while low-income nations faced shortages (Oxfam / NYT context).

The mRNA Billionaire Payday

This architecture produced striking personal windfalls. As detailed in the People’s Vaccine Alliance report, COVID vaccines created at least nine new billionaires with a combined net wealth of $19.3 billion, enough to fully vaccinate everyone in low-income countries more than once. This figure exceeded the cost of vaccinating the world’s poorest nations at the time, even as those countries received only a tiny fraction of global supply.

The list is dominated by Moderna and BioNTech executives and early investors (many of whom benefited despite heavy taxpayer funding for development): Stéphane Bancel (Moderna CEO), Albert Bourla (Pfizer CEO), and Uğur Şahin (BioNTech CEO & co-founder).

Pfizergate offers a striking illustration of the opacity at the highest levels. In early 2021, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen personally negotiated massive vaccine contracts with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla via private text messages and calls. The resulting deal covered up to 1.8 billion doses for approximately €35 billion, the largest vaccine procurement in EU history. When journalists and investigators sought access to these messages under transparency rules, the Commission claimed they no longer existed or could not be found, triggering years of legal battles, Ombudsman complaints, and court rulings against the Commission for lack of plausible explanation. In hindsight, this episode underscores the questions of accountability, information flow, and potential conflicts in the government–pharma nexus.

Philanthrocapitalism: Gates’ Strategic Investments & Media Influence

The financial architecture also involved high-profile private investors. Bill Gates’ foundation made a pre-IPO equity investment of $55 million in BioNTech (Pfizer’s mRNA partner). In under two years, this blossomed into more than $550 million as the company’s valuation soared on vaccine contracts and EUAs.

Simultaneously, the Gates Foundation directed over $319 million in grants to major media outlets and journalism programs, including NBC, PBS, The Atlantic, The Guardian, Le Monde, BBC, NPR, and investigative centers such as the Pulitzer Center. These funds supported reporting on global health, gender equality, and pandemic-related topics.

Looking back at it, the intersection of substantial equity stakes in mRNA companies and extensive media funding raises profound questions about narrative influence, journalistic independence, and the blurred lines between philanthropy, investment returns, and public discourse.

But they are the only questions worth asking if we want to understand the true architecture that governed this pandemic, the machinery, the money, the fix that was in from the very beginning.

There’s a man at the center of this machine, and once you start pulling threads, his name keeps appearing no matter which direction you follow. Ralph Baric. UNC Chapel Hill. Forty years inside coronavirus research. The guy who understood how to engineer these viruses, how to make them look like they came from nature, and how to have pieces of the response already positioned before most people even knew there was a problem.

This was never just one scientist working in isolation. This was a system that kept feeding him grants, collaborations, and institutional protection while the same small circle of interests kept orbiting the crisis they later claimed caught them off guard.

2006: They Already Knew How to Fake the Origin Story

Back in 2006, Baric published a paper that should have triggered more serious scrutiny. He described how synthetic biology and seamless genome assembly could be used to construct viruses digitally, viruses that could be engineered to carry the exact genetic signature of whatever strain you wanted them to resemble. He called one version of this the “scapegoat” option.

“Synthetic viral genomes can be designed to be identical with exact virus strains circulating in any given location from any year. This powerful technique provides the bioterrorist with a ‘scapegoat’ option; leaving a sequence signature that misdirects efforts at tracking the true originators of the crime.”

He wasn’t speaking abstractly. He noted that this kind of engineered misdirection could be used to build mistrust between nations or even help precipitate open warfare. He put it in writing and kept working.

2010: The Cheap Kill Switch Nobody Wanted to Fund

Four years later, Baric co-authored research that pointed toward a genuinely disruptive possibility. In PLoS Pathogens, he and his colleagues demonstrated that zinc, when delivered into cells using an appropriate ionophore, could inhibit the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP), the core enzyme that virtually all RNA viruses use to replicate and spread.

This wasn’t fringe work. RdRP is the replication engine for coronaviruses and many other RNA viruses. The paper showed that increasing intracellular zinc levels could block that engine in cell culture. The approach was relatively simple and inexpensive. It didn’t require inventing a brand-new patented molecule.

Dr. Zev Zelenko later read this research and built a clinical protocol around it, zinc plus an ionophore, given early to high-risk patients. He reported sharp reductions in hospitalizations. The connection between Baric’s laboratory findings and real-world early treatment was later traced by others who spent years following the thread.

Yet the system never gave this approach serious institutional support. There were no large, well-funded follow-up trials pushed at the scale later seen with other interventions. It remained, for the most part, an orphan discovery. Natural compounds and repurposed mechanisms are difficult to patent and monetize at pharmaceutical scale. The incentives in the system do not reward cheap, early, outpatient solutions the same way they reward new patented drugs that can be administered under emergency authorization in hospitals.

Baric had published a potential off-switch years earlier. It was largely treated as background noise.

One of his last major transmissions from 2022, two minutes and forty-seven seconds of pure, uncut truth and the bastards are still losing their minds over it in 2026. Hantavirus. Single-stranded RNA. There are many viruses in the world and we categorize them based on their genetic material. And so there's this class of viruses called single-stranded RNA viruses.

And some of those viruses include all the COVID strains, Covid-19, influenza virus, RSV virus, Marburg virus, Ebola virus, Hantavirus, and there are a few others.

The point being is that they're single-stranded RNA viruses that use this same common pathway in making copies of their genetic material. That's something called RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.

That's what I've been talking about for the last two years in a context of COVID-19. But if we extrapolate that to think more broadly, then it is this same mechanism of treatment using zinc ionophores and zinc could inhibit all those strains of Covid-19, influenza virus, RSV virus, Ebola virus, Marburg virus, and Hantavirus.

This has a tremendous amount of national security implications, and I don't think anyone realizes this. So I'm pleading with our scientists, the honest people in the government, to investigate these.

Because as recent chatter in the news is going, we're seeing hemorrhagic fever from China, this concern about Marburg virus, Hantavirus, and Ebola virus. These viruses carry, you know, to some estimates 90% death rates.

So I think there may be a solution to all these huge public health and bioterrorist problems, all with one simple, cheap oral approach. Basically what I'm saying is if the whole world had enough vitamin D3, high normal levels of vitamin D3, and enough intracellular zinc, we can eradicate most of these health threats.

And here is why:

I was there when the pieces finally slammed together for him. Not in the room, but close enough through rabbis and late-night wires and the kind of underground railroad that only forms when the machine is trying to crush a man for telling the truth. Zev Zelenko wasn’t some lab-coated suit in a glass tower. He was a Hasidic family doctor in Monroe, New York, already missing a lung to cancer, watching his people die in real time while the suits in Davos and Bethesda counted their future vaccine profits.

March 12, 2020. Middle of the night. Sleep won’t come. He’s lying there in prayer and meditation, begging for something, anything to throw at the beast tearing through his patients. Checks his email. Boom. A link to MedCram Update #34 drops like manna from the sky. Dr. Roger Seheult laying out the science. Zev reads it and knows, right then, that God just handed him the sword.

From his memoir:

“It was in the middle of the night on March 12th, a night where sleep wouldn’t come. I was lying in prayer and meditation, looking for some way to do something to help the patients I was seeing who were getting sick and dying from this new virulent form of disease. I decided to use this sleepless time to check my email. It was there that I found a message containing the link to a YouTube video that would forever change my life, and would, more importantly, save the lives of millions across the world.”

That night he built the protocol on the spot. Zinc. HCQ or quercetin or EGCG to drag the zinc inside the cell. Vitamin D, C, the whole cheap arsenal. No patents. No billion-dollar price tag. Just science that had been sitting in plain sight since 2010.

“Increasing the intracellular Zn(2+) concentration with zinc-ionophores like pyrithione (PT) can efficiently impair the replication of a variety of RNA viruses, including poliovirus and influenza virus. For some viruses this effect has been attributed to interference with viral polyprotein processing. In this study we demonstrate that the combination of Zn(2+) and PT at low concentrations (2 µM Zn(2+) and 2 µM PT) inhibits the replication of SARS-coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and equine arteritis virus (EAV) in cell culture. The RNA synthesis of these two distantly related nidoviruses is catalyzed by an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), which is the core enzyme of their multiprotein replication and transcription complex (RTC). Using an activity assay for RTCs isolated from cells infected with SARS-CoV or EAV—thus eliminating the need for PT to transport Zn(2+) across the plasma membrane—we show that Zn(2+) efficiently inhibits the RNA-synthesizing activity of the RTCs of both viruses. Enzymatic studies using recombinant RdRps (SARS-CoV nsp12 and EAV nsp9) purified from E. coli subsequently revealed that Zn(2+) directly inhibited the in vitro activity of both nidovirus polymerases. More specifically, Zn(2+) was found to block the initiation step of EAV RNA synthesis, whereas in the case of the SARS-CoV RdRp elongation was inhibited and template binding reduced. By chelating Zn(2+) with MgEDTA, the inhibitory effect of the divalent cation could be reversed, which provides a novel experimental tool for in vitro studies of the molecular details of nidovirus replication and transcription.”

Read it again. Slowly. Baric, the guy who spent forty years engineering chimeric coronaviruses, the guy who worked with Wuhan, the guy whose department got paid by Fauci, published this in 2010. Zinc + ionophore stops the RdRp dead. Works on SARS. Works on arteriviruses. Works on polio, flu, everything that uses that same replication engine.

He never ran the animal trials. Never did the human ones. Just published it and moved on to the next patent goldmine.

Zev did the trials. In real time. On real people. High-risk patients. Eighty-four percent drop in hospitalizations. One death in the whole cohort and that was a late-stage cancer case. He treated Bolsonaro. He trained doctors in Honduras. He saved thousands while the machine screamed “dangerous!” and yanked his YouTube video and called him a quack on every screen in America.

By the time I finally got the message through in December 2021, Baric’s name attached to his own protocol, Zev’s mind lit up like a fuse. He saw the whole sick joke: the architect of the nightmare had also published the off-switch. We were somewhere around the edge of 2020 when the fear kicked in hard, the kind that doesn’t just rattle your cage but rewires the whole goddamn nervous system. The air itself felt thick with it, sticky, electric, crawling up the spine like bad acid mixed with pure bureaucratic venom. And right at the center of this rolling nightmare was the PCR test, that treacherous little bastard, cranked up to cycle thresholds so high it was practically hallucinating viruses in the dust on your bookshelf.

They called them “cases.” Sweet Jesus, what a word.

The Centerpiece: Kary Mullis, the Inventor Who Knew

Inventor of the PCR test, Dr. Kary Mullis, the Nobel Prize-winning mad genius who built the machine that would later terrorize the planet, laid it out plain as day in one of his final interviews:

“With PCR, if you do it well, if you amplify one single molecule, you can find almost anything in anybody… It doesn’t tell you that you’re sick.”

He was Fauci’s most notable critic, the guy who called bullshit on the way PCR had been weaponized before, during the AIDS hysteria and he died suddenly on August 7, 2019. Just months before the pandemic script dropped. Convenient timing, right? The one voice that could have blown the whole diagnostic fraud wide open, silenced right before they needed a test that could turn a cold, a fruit, or a goat into a global crisis.

They ignored him. They cranked the cycles to 35, 40, 45. And suddenly the world was drowning in “cases.”

A 2025 German lab study tore the mask off the fraud: only about 14% of those early PCR positives were real infections, real, antibody-producing, actual-virus business. The rest? Eighty-six percent ghosts. Phantom RNA fragments dancing in the machine at 35, 40, 45 cycles.

Lockdowns, the six-foot holy decree, the mRNA salvation shots, they were all built on this house of statistical mirrors. The numbers lied so beautifully the whole world bowed down.

But the illusion ran deeper than just the tests. UK university modelers, most influentially at Imperial College, with Oxford offering a sharply dissenting counter-view, were busy peddling their shiny SIR compartmental models (Susceptible-Infected-Recovered or SRI variants in some of the academic fever dreams). Far from warning that raw “case” counts were a dangerous mirage, the dominant models churned out by Imperial made PCR positives the star of the show. They treated every positive swab as a potential catastrophe, projecting exponential explosions of infections that would overwhelm hospitals any day now. The models screamed that cases were the main thing to worry about, forget distinguishing them from actually sick people flooding the wards. Track the cases, fear the cases, lock down for the cases.

The machine didn’t just listen. It loved it. Instead it flipped the script into pure theater.

On the 16th of March 2020, a mathematical epidemiologist at Imperial College London named Neil Ferguson released a modelling paper that changed the world. His team’s computer simulation projected that, without government intervention, SARS-CoV-2 could kill more than 500,000 people in the United Kingdom and two million in the United States before the summer was out.

The Hospital Shell Game: Broken Bones, Car Crashes, and the Great COVID Overcount

While the models turned every PCR positive into a looming apocalypse, the bean-counters and hospital administrators erased any remaining line between cases and sickness. Any patient who tested positive, even if they were in for a broken hip, a heart attack, a car wreck, or stage-four cancer, got slapped with the COVID label. “With COVID” became “from COVID.” The 28-day rule in the UK meant if you died within a month of a positive test, bingo, official COVID death, regardless of what actually killed you.

Hospitals that looked eerily empty in the early waves (elective surgeries canceled, regular patients terrified away) suddenly reported sky-high “COVID hospitalizations.” The beds weren’t full of gasping pneumonia cases; they were full of people who happened to test positive while being treated for something else. The numbers had to be defended. The fear had to be fed. Empty wards became “overwhelmed COVID wards” on the evening news.

It was statistical necromancy on an industrial scale, turning everyday medical misery into pandemic fuel.

The Spark: Raoult’s “Day One” and Zelenko’s Outpatient Protocol (March–April 2020)

As laid out in “The Day Professor Raoult Knew COVID-19 Was Already Over”, Raoult’s team submitted their open-label study on March 16 and published March 20 in the International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents. Twenty-six patients on hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) + azithromycin showed rapid viral clearance—often in days. Raoult, one of the world’s top microbiologists and head of the IHU Méditerranée Infection, released results in real time, held press briefings, and treated queues of patients in Marseille.

Across the ocean, Dr. Vladimir Zelenko in Monroe, New York, risk-stratified high-risk outpatients with his triple therapy: low-dose HCQ + zinc + azithromycin. By late March he published an open letter and video detailing near-zero hospitalizations in hundreds of cases. Both were frontline clinical observations—cheap, repurposed, decentralized, and working.

The machine did not replicate. It contained.

The Propaganda Machinery Activates: The Trusted News Initiative – The Global Ministry of Truth

This was the Trusted News Initiative (TNI) and early public-private coordination ensuring uniform messaging. Dissenting doctors were isolated. The Milgram lever of authority—Fauci, WHO, national health ministers—was pulled hard.

“The sharing of biased and false news has become all too common on social media. Unfortunately, some members of the media use their platforms to push their own personal lives and agenda, controlling exactly what people think. This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.”

The Trusted News Initiative (TNI), simply Global Information Control, was founded in 2019 by the UK state broadcaster, the BBC, and its global media and tech partner. TNI claimed its first order of business was to promote freedom and democracy by preventing foreign interference in the 2020 US presidential elections. However, it seems that TNI’s big pharma backers had a vaccine agenda in mind from the start.

The TNI issued a warning in 2019 that anti-vaxxers were gaining traction across the internet, requiring algorithmic intervention – very smart computer programs – to identify, attack, and neutralize anti-vaccine content. How does it work? By flooding your screen with repetitive pro-vaccine messages that normalize the experimental vaccine, while demonizing the unvaccinated to create division and drive public acceptance of vaccine compliance.

The TNI also pays so-called fact-checkers to produce hit pieces on scientists and journalists who go against the official narrative. Hundreds of frontline medical professionals, scientists, and researchers who dare to speak out against the official narrative have disappeared from social media platforms at the hands of the TNI. They didn’t ask approved questions or come to approved conclusions, so now, doctors from Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford are considered dangerous experts who must be neutralized.

TNI director Jessica Cecile complains that anti-vaccine content often comes from people with degrees. There is often a grain of truth to what is claimed, making it difficult to untangle the falsehoods. They attack early treatment that could cure COVID-19 because it poses a threat to the vaccine agenda.

The TNI network also ignores stories of tens of thousands who have been injured by COVID-19 vaccines in order to promote the false narrative that they are safe and effective. It’s not just careers that the TNI is destroying, but real lives, as it suppresses the true numbers of vaccine adverse effects and early treatment protocols.

Who is paying for this harmful suppression of science? You are. We are. Taxpayers fund the governments, which in turn pay big pharma. Big pharma spends almost 7 billion dollars advertising with TNI corporations. TNI companies also have pharma investments, creating massive conflicts of interest. See how that works?

- Day One – March 3, 2020: When Didier Raoult Handed Us the Playbook They Ignored

Listen up, “you wide-eyed casualties still clawing your way out of the digital meat grinder”: this is CHRONOS, and this right here is where my personal red-onion journey began. Not some vague “I started paying attention in 2021” bullshit. No. For me it was March 3, 2020, 18:30. I was sitting in front of my screen when a friend sent me a video of Professor Didier Raoult, the old lion of infectious disease, head of the IHU Méditerranée Infection in Marseille is in front of his students laying it out raw.

He’s holding a paper fresh off the press from leading Chinese virologists (the same ones who regularly collaborated with him). They asked for his professional opinion on their head-to-head data: Remdesivir versus HCQ + azithromycin for treating SARS-CoV-2.

Raoult didn’t mince words. Remdesivir? Ineffective at the stage most patients were reaching hospital. The antiviral punch was already too late once viral load had peaked and the body was in recovery mode (what we’d later call Stage 4). Worse, the solvent used to deliver the drug hammered already-hypoxic kidneys, a lethal combo in reanimation wards.

HCQ, on the other hand? It had immunoregulatory properties that stopped the immune system from going nuclear and killing the patient with its own cytokine storm. Azithromycin cleared the secondary bacterial mess and helped with the lungs. This wasn’t prophylaxis yet, this was treatment for people already sick.

And that’s when the onion first peeled back for me. Because Raoult wasn’t guessing. The Chinese data (and the in-vitro work they’d already done) showed HCQ working exactly where the system later claimed nothing could.
